The head coach Scottish premier league Livingston  David Martindale said he handed the Nigeria international an  opportunity to have money and settle his fines by handing him his debut as per report from soccerstat Lawal was part of the Flying Eagle's team that reached the quarter final at the 2023 FIFA World which took place in Argentina where he scored 1 goal in 4 appearances, he joined Livingston this summer on a 3 years contract. However, he is struggling to adapt to life in Scotland but he debuted on Saturday in the Scottish league cup victory over Ayr United As per report, the club coach Martindale joked during his pres conference that he gave the youngster some minutes so he could get some money to pay his fines. “I’ve fined Lawal so much that I needed to help him out and get him his win bonus,” Martindale said per Daily Record.
